Position: Temporarily Local Assistant to the Ambassador and Public Diplomacy Section
Duties:
- Handling Ambassador’s schedule of appointments.
- Arranging for the visits to be conducted by the Ambassador.
- Receiving Ambassadors guests
- Communications with diplomatic missions and international organizations in matters related to the Ambassador’s duties.
- Arrangements related to events to be organized by the Embassy such as the National Day’s Reception, including contacts and coordination to book the halls and prepare invitations for guests, etc.
- Maintaining contacts with relevant Libyan authorities including MOFA and other institution in respect of Ambassador’ related issues.
- Booking of air-tickets, hotel reservations, etc.
- Reservation of VIP Lounge for Ambassador’s in and out trips.
- Translation and drawing up of documents (NVs, Ambassador’s appointments, letters, speeches, greetings, etc.)
- Any other assignments to be designated by the Ambassador or officer in charge of local employees.
Working Hours.
- 8:00 to 16:45 (except during Ramadan), Sunday to Thursday (except when the Embassy is closed), with a 1 hour lunch break.
Working conditions.
- Salary: To be determined in accordance with Embassy regulations, taking into account educational background, work experience and skills.
- A temporary (first month probationary) shall be signed.
Qualifications.
- A graduate with a high level of English and Arabic required. (communication and report writing in English and Arabic.)
- IT skills for standard office work or above and good computer and software skills.
- Residents of Tripoli who can commute to the Embassy (Janzur area) (no long-distance commuters), is a preference
*Transportation costs for commuting will not be covered.

for which you are applying (with a letter of recommendation if available).

4)Recommendatory letter with signature and stamp of the recommender.

Screening process:
- First stage selection: documents screening.
- Second selection: Interviews at the Embassy of Japan in Libya.
*Interview details will only be provided to those who pass the first round of selection.
